Badminton

The Badminton CCA provides opportunities for students to learn and apply the fundamental sports skills of net games such as serving, receiving and returning the shuttle cock to the opponent.  Students will be taught concepts such as depth and width play and how to attack and defend a space.  Basic rules of the game will progressively be taught and students will learn to apply them in the game.  Training will include basic footwork, stamina building, agility and coordination exercises under the close supervision of the teachers.  Through the singles and doubles games, students will also learn values such as sportsmanship, fairplay, discipline and teamwork.

Basketball

The Basketball CCA provides opportunities for students to learn and apply the fundamental sports skills in territorial and invasion games such as passing, dribbling and shooting.  Students will be taught concepts such as moving into space, attacking and defending.  They will also learn the rules and progressively apply them in the game.  Training will include basic ball skills, stamina building, agility and coordination exercises under the close supervision of the teachers and coach.  The students will also learn values such as sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork and discipline.

Floorball

The Floorball CCA provides opportunities for students to learn and apply the fundamental sports skills such as passing, dribbling and shooting using a long handed implement - the floorball stick.  It is somewhat similar to traditional hockey game but played in a smaller playing area and in a rink.  Students will be taught concepts such as moving into space, attacking and defending.  They will also learn the rules and progressively apply them in the game.  Training will include basic stick handling skills, stamina building, agility and coordination exercises under the close supervision of the teachers and coach.  The students will also learn values such as sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork and discipline.

Football

The Football CCA provides opportunities for students to learn and play one of the more popular games in Singapore.  Students learn to dribble a ball, kick to shoot at goal or kick to pass the ball to teammates.  Students will be taught concepts such as moving into space, attacking and defending.  Basic rules of the game will progressively be taught and students will learn to apply them in the game.  Training will include basic ball skills, stamina building, agility and coordination exercises under the close supervision of the teachers and coach.  The students will also learn values such as sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork and discipline.

Netball

The Netball CCA provides opportunities for our girls to participate in a ball game.  Students will apply fundamental sports skills such as throwing and catching, pivoting and shooting into the net.  Students will be taught concepts such as moving into space, attacking and defending. They will also learn the complex rules in Netball and progressively apply them in the game.  Training will include basic ball skills, footwork, stamina building, agility and coordination exercises under the close supervision of the teachers and coach.  Through the games, students will learn values such as sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork and discipline.
