MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)

Singaporean students from lower-income households may qualify for MOE FAS. Apply online or via hardcopy to get help with school fees, books, uniforms, meals, and transport.

OBJECTIVE

  1. The objective of the MOE FAS is to help financially needy Singaporean students in Government and Government-aided schools to meet basic schooling expenses.

  2. For primary and secondary school students, the MOE FAS fully covers the cost of school and standard miscellaneous fees, textbooks and school uniform, as well as meal and transport subsidies.

  3. Please refer to the attached pamphlets on the eligibility criteria and benefits of MOE FAS.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. Student must be a Singapore citizen enrolled in a Government or Government-aided school and meets either one of the following criteria:
    a. Gross household income (GHI) as at the time of application does not exceed $4,000 per month; or 
    b. Household per capita income (PCI) as at the time of application does not exceed $1,000 per month.
    PCI = Monthly GHI / No. of members in the same household

SUBMISSION

  1. To apply for MOE FAS, you are strongly encouraged to submit through the eFAS (eFAS link in PG's services section & Via Online Form)

NOTE

  1. If your child is a ComCare recipient, you need not submit the application for MOE FAS as MOE FAS will be auto-granted to ComCare beneficiaries.

  2. For parents with children in different schools, you need to submit only one application form for all your school-going children to one of their schools. The school which receives the application form will inform you of the outcome for all the children.

  3. Hardcopy form is required for:
    a. families with other dependents (Great grandparents, Aunties/Uncles, Cousins and others)
    b. family with more than 6 children in GGAS
    c. family with more than 5 unmarried children not in GGAS
    d. family with more than 3 grandparents in the household

  4. For Primary 6 students going to Secondary 1 in 2026, Primary 6 students can apply for MOE FAS at their primary school for Secondary 1 next year.
